Using the rich text editor

Rich Text Editor

All content types use the same rich text editor with powerful formatting and collaboration features.

Formatting Options

Text Formatting:

B (Bold) - Make text bold
I (Italic) - Make text italic
U (Underline) - Underline text
S (Strikethrough) - Cross out text

Text Alignment:

Left align - Align text to the left
Center align - Center text
Right align - Align text to the right

Headings:

P (Paragraph) - Normal paragraph text
H2 - Large heading
H3 - Medium heading
H4 - Small heading

Lists:

Bullet list - Create bullet points
Numbered list - Create numbered list

Other Features:

Link - Add hyperlinks (click to insert/edit)
Image - Upload and insert images
Code block - Add code with syntax highlighting
Quote - Add blockquotes

What you'll see: A large text editor area with a toolbar at the top. The toolbar has buttons for formatting. As you type, you'll see formatted text appear in the editor.

Tips for Using the Rich Text Editor

Select text first, then click formatting buttons to apply styles
Use headings (H2, H3, H4) to structure your content
Insert images by clicking the image button and uploading
Add links by selecting text and clicking the link button
The editor auto-saves your work

Collaboration Features

If you're editing an existing article, you may see:

Presence indicators - Small colored dots showing who else is viewing/editing
Live cursors - Colored cursors showing where other users are typing
Real-time updates - Changes from other users appear instantly

What you'll see: If someone else is editing the same article, you'll see their cursor position highlighted in a different color, and their name displayed near their cursor.
